New Patients Welcome Center
We welcome you to our Clinic, and we appreciate your time in seeking professional eye health services. In order to make your transition to our office smoother for you, we have created a New Patient Welcome Center, with everything you need to get started.
To streamline the new patient process, you will be able to complete all the necessary forms prior to your first visit, so that we can serve your needs as quickly as possible upon your visit.
Thank you for choosing San Diego Eye Clinic, and we look forward to seeing you.
Insurances Accepted and Payments
At San Diego Eye Clinic, our goal is to provide you with the highest quality services and provide you with product options that best meet your eye health needs. We accept most types of vision insurances, including VSP, Eyemed, MES, Molina, Community Health Group, Spectera, Medi-Cal, Medicare, Superior, Davis Vision, United Healthcare, Cigna, Blue Promise, Healthnet, and Care First. Although many people do not have vision coverage per se, their medical insurance can often be billed for the visit if a medical condition exists and is diagnosed during the eye exam. At our optometry practice, we can help in such matters. We also accept different forms of payment to include cash, checks, and most credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. We inform our customers of the exam and treatment costs at the beginning of your appointment, or upon your request, with a breakdown of costs. Please inform our staff if you need more detail on the costs involved.
Vision Insurances
The knowledgeable staff at San Diego Eye Clinic is very experienced in working with vision insurance providers, and our staff works hard in submitting claims on your behalf. If you have any questions, please ask our staff, and we can explain your insurance coverage and your covered benefits. Many current vision care plans require co-payments, partial, or full payment of some services by the patients. Please contact our staff to find out if your insurance provider is accepted in our office and for more information on your vision coverage
Flexible Spending Accounts
Most employers provide workers incentives for the Flexible Spending Account (FSA). They are often referred to as cafeteria policies, which are elective, supplementary savings policies for insurance. These policies are designed to encourage you to save money pre-tax, and pay for extra medical expenses such as eye exams, glasses, contacts, or even elective surgery.
Please talk to the benefits administrator at your place of employment to see if you are eligible for this money saving program. Usually, FSAs should be used along with any vision insurance plan offered to cover your out-of-pocket expenses.
